The Challenge

10 International is a procurement and supply chain company processing hundreds of purchase orders monthly. Each PO required manual reading, data extraction, cross-referencing against price lists, validation, and approval routing.

A single purchase order took an average of 60 minutes to process. With growing order volumes, the team was spending entire days on document handling — time that should have been spent on supplier relationships and strategic procurement decisions.

The Solution

We built a custom AI agent system that automates the entire document processing pipeline while keeping humans in control of every approval decision.

How it works:

1. A purchase order arrives (PDF, email attachment, or scanned document — the format doesn't matter).

2. The AI agent reads the document and extracts all relevant data: line items, product codes, quantities, unit prices, totals, dates, and supplier details.

3. The extracted data is automatically validated against 10 International's price lists and customer records. Any discrepancies are flagged with a clear explanation.

4. A clean summary is presented to the team member for one-click approval. They can see exactly what the AI extracted, what it flagged, and make the final decision in seconds.

The Results

Processing time dropped from 60 minutes to 7 minutes per purchase order. That's an 88% reduction — without sacrificing accuracy or removing human oversight.

The team now processes the same volume of POs in a fraction of the time, freeing up hours every day for higher-value work. The AI catches data discrepancies that manual processing sometimes missed, actually improving accuracy alongside the speed gains.
